The Hollywood 22 TX22 Rate Reducer Weighted Back Plates are designed to add rear weight to the Taurus TX22 platform, helping balance the pistol when running a suppressor, compensator, or other front-end setup.
 
Adding weight at the rear of the pistol can help offset extra weight up front, giving the TX22 a more balanced feel in the hand. Whether you are running our Hollywood 22 TX22 Compensator, shooting suppressed, or just want to tune the feel of your setup, these weighted back plates are a simple and functional upgrade.
 
By adding rear mass, the weighted back plate also functions as a rate reducer. This added weight may help slightly slow cyclic rate, contributing to a smoother, more controlled feel during rapid fire.
Precision machined from steel and built in-house at Stoner CNC, each weighted back plate is made for a secure fit, clean appearance, and long-term use.

2 oz Weighted Back Plate
A great all-around option for adding noticeable rear weight and improving balance with the Hollywood 22 TX22 Compensator or suppressor setups.
 
2 oz Weighted Back Plate with Charging Handle
Adds the same 2 oz rear weight with an ambidextrous, removable charging handle for easier slide manipulation. The charging handle can be installed on either side and can be positioned facing forward or rearward, allowing shooters to set it up for their preferred hand, grip, and shooting style. The handle can also be removed if you want to run the weighted back plate without it.
 
2.5 oz Brass Weighted Back Plate with Charging Handle
Our heavier brass option adds even more rear weight with a premium upgraded look and feel. This version also includes an ambidextrous, removable charging handle that can be installed on either side and positioned facing forward or rearward. The handle can also be removed if you want to run the brass weighted back plate without it.

Suppressor Use
Suppressors add weight to the front of the pistol, which can make the TX22 feel nose-heavy. The Hollywood 22 TX22 Rate Reducer Weighted Back Plate helps offset that front weight by adding mass at the rear, giving the pistol a more balanced and controlled feel.
 
For shooters running suppressed, this is one of the easiest ways to tune the balance of the TX22 without changing the rest of the setup.
 
Rate Reducer Function
The Hollywood 22 TX22 Rate Reducer Weighted Back Plate adds mass to the rear of the TX22 slide assembly, helping tune the way the pistol feels during use. This added rear weight may help slightly slow the cyclic rate, which refers to how fast the slide cycles during firing.
 
By helping slow that movement slightly, the weighted back plate can contribute to a smoother, more controlled feel during faster strings of fire. This makes it a great upgrade for TX22 shooters running a suppressor, compensator, or other front-heavy setup.
